The Powder River Basin

The Powder River Basin

The Powder River Basin in northeast Wyoming is one of the most prolific oil and gas regions in the U.S. Rocky Mountains. Bright Rock owns a majority-operated leasehold position of 26,000 net acres in Converse County. Our asset is located in the southern part of the basin within the prolific overpressure core. This industry-friendly area has been de-risked by several horizontal wells both on and immediately adjacent to our leasehold.

Key Metrics

Bright Rock’s significant working interest (over 80%) gives us control over the pace of development and capital investment, providing important financial and operational flexibility. This concentration gives us a strong incentive to develop and maintain positive relationships with landowners, mineral owners and other critical partners.

Our technical resources are focused on organizing a streamlined, efficient, full development plan.

Our leases in Wyoming, east of Casper.

Operations

High working interest operational control of 19 Drilling Spacing Units (DSUs), each consisting of 1280 acres.

Potential

Three zones of stacked pay potential giving an inventory of 200+ horizontal drilling locations.

Efficiency

Current oil production from 5 Niobrara horizontal wells. The production stream is 95% oil with low associated gas and water.

Strategic location

Several large publicly-traded companies have nearby operations. Their continued development and new-zone testing adds value to our position.

About
Wyoming Project Development Plan

Our team has identified more than 200 operated two-mile horizontal drilling locations across our Wyoming project leasehold.

Target objectives in this area include the Niobrara, Turner and Mowry formations. These horizons are oil-prone, with the typical production stream consisting of 95% oil (high API gravity) with very little associated gas and a low water cut.

These characteristics enhance the overall economic viability of the project. Adequate takeaway capacity exists to local markets. Larger, well-known operators have active positions immediately north and east of our leasehold.

At this time, we are in the process of completing the required land and permitting work in preparation for full development of the resource.

We are actively leasing in this area and seeking opportunities to expand our operational footprint.
