About us

Our Story

Bright Rock is committed to creating value by applying our expertise in acquiring, developing and producing oil and gas assets in the Rocky Mountain West of the United States.

There is an enormous amount of opportunity to produce valuable energy by applying modern horizontal drilling and completion techniques to known oil and gas resources originally developed only with vertical wells. Vertical development leaves behind a significant amount of resource in the reservoir, which can be accessed and produced using horizontal drilling. Bright Rock’s strategy is based on drilling for oil and natural gas where it has been previously found in order to minimize operational and financial risk. We know we will unlock additional resources where we drill.

Our team is experienced in identifying successful resource plays and developing oil fields efficiently for generating positive economic returns and value while operating as a responsible steward of natural resources.

Bright Rock Energy is backed by Deutsche Rohstoff AG, an experienced energy investor, providing us the financial resources needed to responsibly and efficiently develop our asset portfolio.
